Course Overview

The “Supervise Metal Scaffold Erection” course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills in supervising scaffold erection, inspection and dismantling work activities in construction and other related industries. The Supervise Metal Scaffold Erection is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers supervising scaffolding works in construction sites and related industries.

At end of the Course, Participants will acquire good knowledge & skill in Knowledge:

  • WSH(Scaffold) Regulation and CP14:1996 (code of practice for scaffold)

  • Risk management Regulation 2006

  • Work at heights regulations 2013

  • Types of scaffold systems and their characteristics

  • Criteria for selection of scaffolds

  • Terminology used in scaffolds as well as it components and materials

  • Tools, equipment and PPE used in scaffold activities

  • Identify and explain the material and work platform requirement

  • Able to conduct hazard identification of scaffold erection and dismantling

  • WSH (Scaffolds) Regulations for scaffold activities and relevant case studies on scaffold incidents

  • Scaffold register and inspection checklists

  • Factors affecting safety of scaffold structure

  • Hazards identifications and safety of scaffold erection and dismantling

Target Audience

All workers involved in supervising scaffold erection and dismantling work activities in construction and other industries.

Entry Requirements

  • Must be over 18 years of age Singapore citizen, permanent resident or holder of valid employment pass / work permit. Must by physically and mentally fit for the training. Participants are requiring to wear their Safety Boots for the practical Performance.
  • Participants must have to provide a copy of their scaffold erector’s certificate

Assumed Skill & knowledge

  • Participants of this course are advised to have at least Basic English knowledge

Note: Participants are required to submit a copy of highest education certificate at time of application

Course Details

Course Duration: 75 Hours include of 6 Hours assessment

Day Class: 9 full days / 9 Sundays (08.30am to 6.30pm)

Evening Class: 19 Evenings (06:00pm to 10:00pm)

Course Attendance Record: 100% attendance

Certification

Results will be released within 1 week after course ends. Upon completion of the course and passing the examination, an e-Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and a Safety Pass from Fonda Global Engineering Pte ltd will be awarded to you.
